Come and Join Us
The Niagara Railway Museum is a volunteer run charitable organization.
There are no paid staff to look after the many different jobs the NRM has
to offer. Whether you have lots of experience, or none at all, you are
welcome!
Some of the areas we are looking for volunteers in are:
Equipment Restoration Department - including small engine and motor
repairs, metal working, woodworking, painting
Equipment Operating Department - Members are given the opportunity to learn how to operate
some of the NRM equipment, after a training period.
Track Department - The track department looks after all the track on the
NRM property including maintenance and inspection to keep the track in
safe working condition.
Building Department - Help keep our building in good working order, both
inside and out for the safety of our members, and visitors.
Promotion Department - Take the NRM display to various railway shows
throughout Southern Ontario and Western NY. Set up the display artifacts,
meet people, and promote the Museum.
Each area has a Department Head, who will be there to help you along the
way. If you would like to become involved with the NRM in any of the above
fields, just drop us an email and let us know. We'll fill you in on how
to get involved, and what is required from you. We offer an enjoyable
learning experience with people who wish to preserve our railway heritage.
